Let's work together!

To ensure top-notch, customized counseling, coaching, and consulting, I limit my roster to 20 students per year.

I accept new students as early as freshman year.

An All-Inclusive Program for Busy Families

Want to sail into senior year and the college application process with all your ducks in a row?

Looking for a smooth, stress-free college application experience? This all-inclusive package includes a carefully choreographed plan from start to college acceptance letter.

Waiting until the last minute makes it hard to focus, and stress gets in the way of your student’s best performances –

not to mention your parent-teen relationship.

You’re just looking for a partner

who can provide your student with the details, all mapped out in a clear and concise way. It seems like there’s so many hoops to jump through.

Your student is thrilled about going to college, but you’re overwhelmed. You both are. Frankly, you’re not even sure where to start. The last thing you want to do is stay up all night googling answers to your questions. You wish you could just wave that magic wand and it all be done.

Can someone just take my kid by the hand and walk them through the process? And why are there so many different deadlines to keep track of?

Well, that's where I come in...

Keep in mind that much of the work will be done during weekly meetings the first few months of senior year.

WHAT'S INCLUDED:

  • Up to 15 meetings for up to 10 applications.

  • A calendar of deadlines with checkpoints along the way

  • Coaching in college selection process: review interests, potential majors, and academic and extracurricular records

  • Guidance and coaching on requesting letters of recommendation

  • Resume building

  • Guidance in researching colleges

  • A list of suggested colleges, generated according to your student’s unique needs and preferences

  • Guidance in filling out up to 10 applications, plus a final proofread.

  • Student and/or parent text/email support

  • To-do lists and reminders to keep your student on track

  • Guidance, brainstorming, coaching, review of essay drafts

  • Deadline info and tips for filling out FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)

  • Coaching, counseling, encouraging, cheerleading, nagging!

A Mini-Inclusive Program for the Independent Student

This program is for the independent and organized individual who wants to be provided with a calendar, deadlines, and targeted assistance but is good at managing time and able to do much of the work at home and on their own.

This option is similar to the All-Inclusive package in that I provide structure, a calendar, and essential information.

But the Mini-Inclusive includes up to 6 sessions and no follow-up reminders, so the student is responsible for doing much of the work outside the meetings.

If additional services are needed, they may be added at my hourly rate in 2-hour increments, and prepayment is required for the additional services.

Meetings are 1-2 hours and include about 15 hours of consulting work, such as communications, research, and essay and application review.

WHAT'S INCLUDED:

  • Up to 6 meetings

  • Discussions of college preferences and admission probability

  • Review of application timeline and requirements

  • A finalized college list

  • Essay topic brainstorming activities and tips

  • Organization of and guidance in all essays, including personal statement, supplemental, extra, and UC

  • Guidance in beginning first draft

  • Guidance in completing applications

  • Review of activities & awards and additional information sections

  • Proofread of all applications: Common App, CSUs, UC, Coalition Application, etc.

The I-Just-Need-A-Little-Help Hourly Option

Just looking for minimal help?

Honestly, you feel on top of things. You’ve done this before. You know the drill. Or your student does. But there’s a few things you’re not 100% sure about...

Hourly services are ideal for those who are familiar with the application process and are looking for targeted support and limited help in one or more areas.

If you select to pay hourly, you will contact me when you would like to schedule a meeting.

Is your student self-motivated, organized, and dead-line focused?

My hourly services are student/parent initiated, so it’s up to you to get in touch with me when you’re looking for some assistance, and we’ll set up an appointment. All meetings are charged in 2-hour increments.

We meet for 1-2 hours, and I spend the remainder of the time doing consultant work, including but not limited to research, essay review, application proofreading, communications (reminders, to-do lists, etc.) with your student.

The number of meetings you purchase depends on the needs and preferences of you and your student.

This option is a student-initiated service.

Hourly services provide limited help in targeted areas:

  • Building a college list.

  • Guidance with various aspects of essay writing.

  • Essay review/editing.

  • Help with filling out applications.

  • Letter of recommendation support

  • A hybrid of the above.
